Con Rules
- ConCarolinas ConCom/Staff reserves the right to remove anyone who is violating the rules or otherwise preventing others from their enjoyment of the Con from the convention premises, without a refund.
- When you are in the convention areas, you must wear your badge. Lost badges will only be replaced once for a fee of $5. Badges must be worn and visible at all times.
- Convention Badges are required to enter designated areas. These include but are not limited to – Programming Rooms and Gaming Rooms.
- No running or other roughhousing on the Con premises except in designated areas.
- Please try to keep behavior and actions family friendly during normal con hours of 9AM to 9PM. Please understand that we consider ourselves a family friendly con during the daytime hours but also encourage a nightlife after 9PM. Be respectful about others around you. Anyone deemed not adhering to this rule will be subject to rule 1.
- Please do not damage the hotel. Damaging the hotel will qualify any member for rule number 1, and any damage costs will be charged to said member.
- Bladed weapons must be sheathed and peace-bonded at all times. Prop-weapons must be approved by Con Security and designated by a colored ribbon or other means showing it’s a prop. All prop-weapons must remain holstered or otherwise safely kept. Airsoft weapons used as props are acceptable as long as the battery pack is removed; it has no ammo and otherwise is unable to shoot. All other “real” weapons are prohibited. If it is able to fire a projectile, it is considered real.
- ConCarolinas cannot permit unauthorized vendors to sell anything at the convention.
- The hotel has requested that no “outside” food/meals be brought into the con areas. We encourage you to patronize the hotel restaurant or eat in your private hotel rooms.
- No smoking in the con site. Smoking areas are available outside the hotel in designated areas. This also includes e-cigarettes and other vaping devices.
- ConCarolinas is not responsible for items lost, missing, or stolen during the convention.
- ConCarolinas requests that while in the convention areas, costumes should be suitable and appropriate for the general public. Costumes of adult nature or otherwise inappropriate nature are not welcome in the convention common areas during normal con hours (9 am to 9 pm).
- Please do not block the hallways.
- All local, state, and federal laws, statutes, and ordinances must be followed
- All events that are marked 18+ are strictly 18+. Anyone under 18+ who is attending an 18+ event will be removed from the convention along with any adult who has brought them into the event.
Harassment Policy
ConCarolinas has a no tolerance harassment and anti-bullying policy both at the convention site and via any social networks, blogs, or websites during the convention or on the convention’s social media throughout the year. Any violators will be removed from the convention area, any posts removed from online sources and violators will be permanently banned from future conventions with no refund of any funds spent. ConCarolinas reserves the right to deny membership to any individual who has practiced harassment or bullying either at other conventions or on social media sites.
ConCarolinas is an apolitical, non-religious organization. Discussions in panels and on our social media are to remain polite. Trolling will not be tolerated.
We encourage anyone who feels harassed to make a report to ConCarolinas ConCom or our security staff. If harassment is happening on a hotel floor, please call the front desk and ask for security. If you feel you are in imminent danger, please call 911.

General Dress Code Guidelines
During the hours of 9am to 9pm, please keep the costumes family friendly. This includes no nudity or see-through or extremely revealing clothing, and no profanity or offensive language displayed.
No shirt, no shoes*, no service. Please keep your shirts on during normal con hours.
Art and costumes of an overtly adult or fetish nature should not be seen or worn at our con during normal con hours.

Photography
You are attending a convention. As such, you should expect that your image might show up in pictures. We ask that anyone taking photographs respect requests from those who do not want their picture taken.
Costume and Group pictures/Hallway Traffic – Please do not block Hallway Traffic while taking pictures. Con Security will ask you to find a less trafficked place to take pictures. There are plenty of nice backdrops for pictures around the outside of the hotel.
