ConCarolinas and John Ringo* have mutually agreed he will not attend the 2018 event. ConCarolinas wants to provide a positive environment for everyone who attends our events from our guests, attendees, vendors, and staff.
We represent a diverse range of opinions and support that.
We will not tolerate harassment or bullying as stated in our policy.

* There has been some confusion regarding our statement. Here are some facts:
- John Ringo is NOT banned from ConCarolinas.
- At no time did John Ringo harass anyone.
- There were people who wanted to have John Ringo attend and people who didn’t. Both sides were very vocal about this. Both sides bullied and harassed each other.
- John Ringo is welcome to be a guest at ConCarolinas in the future. The ConCom will invite any author they feel is genre related and a good fit for our convention.
- ConCarolinas is not a political entity, it is gender-less, has no religions affiliation, and no country of origin. It is a 3 day event where people come to enjoy SciFi and Fantasy. They attend to have fun and escape the outside world and enjoy their love of assorted and sundry fandoms. They get to see old friends, meet new ones, and exchange ideas, buy cool stuff, dance, drink, play games, and HAVE FUN!. The only trolls we are inclined to accept are the ones that are in costume.
