1) What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
Jordan: The X-Men animated series. I was always partial to super heroes growing up, like most kids are, and the X-Men animated series had such a fantastic cast of characters that they were always interesting. Also it has the best theme song of all time that will be stuck in your head forever.
2) What is your go to comfort food?
Chris: Steak. Medium rare with mushrooms. Because it tastes good and it’s a rare luxury in a hectic world.
3) What was the first book you read that you have gone back and read over and over again?
Holly: I’m about to start my 14th read of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. My current copy is well loved, full of annotations (because 13 year old me liked to leave notes for myself to read in the future) and countless dog eared pages. I’m not sure if 14 is an impressive amount of times to read something, but I always find something new and even more hilarious every time I go back to it. Hitchhiker’s Guide shaped my sense of humor growing up, and even now in adulthood. Sometimes you need that absurdism and wit to keep you sane in this crazy world we live in.
4) Current favorite song?
Devin: I am currently obsessed with the song “All This Time” by Jonathan Coulton. Most people probably know Coulton for the song “Code Monkeys” and for the end themes to the Portal games (“Still Alive,” “Want You Gone”). Very excited to hear the full album, since it’s apparently gonna be a double-LP concept album about dystopian futurescapes, and it comes with a companion graphic novel written by Matt Fraction!
5) Current favorite TV show?
Liz: Game of Thrones. When you watch the Game of Thrones, you choose a favorite character and they die. So, I’ve tried to resist having a favorite.
I love the show, because it’s got dragons, badass women, and giant dogs.
Everything you could ever want in a show.
